    Memories & Dreams

The minutes nearly stopped when the recollections appeared, Fleeting images of a child chasing clues to find The hidden Easter basket. A treasure hunt! It was on. Today, driving in the dark, The memories were sure and swift – One after the other, in rapid succession. I know the longing, the missing will one day cease. We will be together with laughter and joy. My dreams create a picture that is elusive, yet precious. Even though it is not so today, These recollections will melt into a new reality… Because of Him. A perfect eternal present, replacing the past – Hidden and held in His endless heart, Destiny’s dreams. –…

    Music of My Heart

Your words swirl in my mind, Dancing on the rhythms of a melody. Sounds of joy, heard internally. Waiting expectantly for the chorus. Finding the perfect harmony in a world of dissonance. It’s the time of rejoicing, A day full of thanks, Giving glory to Him Who gives everything back. Taking the ashes of my life, Recreating me in His image. Today I sing aloud – The Music of My Heart. – RG

    Merci

Today there is a mist, It’s in my heart and on my lashes. I wish I could tell Mom & Dad How much they have given me. The humor, the tenacity, The foundation, The memories, The character, The essence of who I am. God – will you please tell them thank you again? I wish I could at least one more time. – RG

    Redeemed

Wrapped in sunlight, Hope is strong. Laughter is easy, And joy is near. So thankful for the love of friends. God redeems the days. His purpose has become mine. Unwavering. Forging ahead. I see the future. It has come. I rejoice. – RG

    Tonight

The night sky arches above me. Silent. Still. Full of life. Stars wink from countless light years away, And I can nearly touch them. “Do you feel them?” I ask my dog. Of course, she doesn’t answer. While the cool, quiet night surrounds me, I only feel the life. Tonight, I raise my arms and know… Eternity is here. – RG

    Inception

Goodbye, adieu, au revoir… I don’t want to say them. Friends are so very dear. The reality of moving forward is sinking in. Tears fall and expectations grow. Anticipation for what is next, And yet, part of me is saddened for the previous chapter’s conclusion. Memories will be held closely. The new act has begun. I am ready. – RG
