    Moments

Sleepy time, with fleeting thoughts, Treasured moments in early silence. Smiling inside because you are near – As close as my next breath. Never far, and touching close, Feeling your very essence. In thankfulness I say your name… You are beautiful to me. Your love winds around my heart, Your mercy sets me free – Everything I am is yours, And you are all to me. – RG

    Everywhere

Watching the moon rise Nearly took my breath away. Its majesty and grandeur splendid in the evening sky. It rose proudly in the ever-darkening sky Casting an amber glow – So bright, the stars were dimmed. And yet, when I look toward it I realize It is but a shadow of its Maker. The One who called it into existence And chose to brighten it with His sun. Today, as the image lingers in my memory, I am thankful for perspectives.. Creation, Love and Wonder – All emanating from the same Source. Thank You, Maker of My Soul For giving me eyes to see You everywhere. – RG

    Arriving Soon!

I hear it in my head, The chords, the rhythm and sounds – Music in me. Today, expectation is strong And the knowledge of what is to come. Finding the new groove. Setting the tracks down. Exalting the One Who created music from the beginning. His soul brings ignition To the creativity internal. Glorious. Joyful. Colors of Hearing. Music in me. His forever. – RG

    Senses in the Morning

The mocking bird sings its songs, While sunlight creeps along the fence. Clouds are swirling overhead And jasmine scents the wind. The purple-orange of the dawn Brings forth its hope and joy. We shuffle through the dewy grass, Exploring sights and sounds. And gratitude fills my heart, In every pulsing beat. To feel, to hear, to touch and breathe, Makes every moment sweet.   The crescent moon, translucent now Against the gentian sky. The stars have faded for the day And thistles gently wave. The glowing-amber of the sun Has risen in the East. We pause our walk to marvel As nature’s gifts abound. And wonder fills my soul –…

    Dawning

The sun rose, slanting through the blinds – Filling the room with its warming glow. The new day arrived. All thoughts and concerns of the night melted away, Leaving hope in their place. Why are the voices of doubt louder in the darkest hours? Thankfully, the steadfast sun climbs over the horizon, Bringing with it a fresh dose of optimism. It was, after all, an internal struggle – One that departs, elusive as a fleeting dream. In the noonday, the concerns are seen as the phantoms they were, Unsubstantial and vanquished. Reality in the daylight – Subduing the strident negatives and Offering with open arms words of Living Comfort. The…

    Gloria Patri

Some days my heart feels heavy As if there is no place To feel Your hands around it, Past failures to erase. Today I sense a difference Where sunshine shatters clean, All doubts and indecisions, And every thought between. There wasn’t just one empty tomb, Where death’s defeat was known – Today I know within this heart You rolled away my stone. – RG
