I Remember…
It is a holiday weekend – specifically, Memorial Day. I have seen posts about Veteran’s who landed on the shores of France, knowing that the odds of coming home were minute. They went. They didn’t question. The markers showing their unquestioning commitment is stunning.
What kind of people would sign up for such duty? Who would say, “yes” to that?
Those who believe in FREEDOM, INTEGRITY, HONOR.
This weekend, as we remember those who gave their lives, let us hold them in high esteem. Let us strive to have the moral compass that does not swerve or buckle. Let us remember that many of us share their DNA. Stop and remember this weekend that we are here “for such a time as this”.
There are generations counting on us – as we counted on those who have gone before us. Let us live up to their amazing example.
Memorial Day – not just a pool party. Be the best you.

My Dad served on Patton’s staff and was forever bound to the soldiers and nurses serving and affected by seeing the German concentration camps. . When we saw “Saving Private Ryan” he wept quietly, my stoic Dad, saying it alll. Amen Rose to your fine post.
