Dreamer
In sleep they come on silent feet,
Having been set free.
The hopes and dreams are now unleashed –
This hidden part of me.
Their mission to awaken parts
That sleep while it is light.
Longings and what’s under wraps
Come out to dance at night.
Their vestiges remain with me
Still near enough to feel.
Visions, colors, touch and songs,
A place sublimely real.
This waking world is only part
Of what creates the whole.
Unencumbered pathways meet
Welcoming the soul.
And in this morning’s quiet hush
It’s easy to receive.
For I have touched the hem of God
His gift for me – believe.
