“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” Col. 3:15 NIV

Yesterday we were talking about glowing. Today let’s up it a notch and talk about ruling. What does ruling mean anyway? According to Dictionary.com, one definition is: “to control or direct; exercise dominating power, authority, or influence over; govern...”

So, as I lay drifting off to sleep last night I was listening to Abide, an app I listen to every night. The story last night was talking about the peace of Christ ruling in our lives. If we “let” that happen, that means PEACE – His peace – is in control. It means it is in charge, putting all other things (like loneliness, anxiety, fear, frustration, anger) in their proper place.

The Peace of Christ. Available.  All you have to do is ask.

I think that is pretty cool. I’m practicing today! 🙂 Oh, and then there’s that second sentence. “And always be thankful”.  Hmm. When are we supposed to be thankful? No wiggle room here. This is also from Dictionary.com: “every time; on every occasion; without exception.”

What if even a fraction of us did this? Can you imagine the impact on our world. I say, Giddy-Up!
